Monitor local city ordinances that affect the REALTORS® business, license taxes, sign ordinances, rent control measures, growth initiatives, developer fees, utility assessments, local bond issues and more.
Support the BEST pro-business lawmakers – To change laws we must be pro-active, bi-partisan, and support the best pro-business lawmakers.
30% of proposed legislation impacts REALTORS® - Over 30% of proposed legislation in Sacramento impacts REALTORS®. This amounts to over 1000 bills each year.

The decisions made by elected officials affect our lives every day, from the taxes we pay to the roads we drive on to the schools our children attend. That's why it's important to participate in the political process and help choose your elected officials by exercising your right to vote.
Pacific West encourages you to participate in the election process by taking the following actions:

Registered voters may apply for an absentee ballot, by mail. Applications must be submitted to the county elections officials no later than 5 p.m. on November 1, 2006.
Registered voters can apply for an absentee ballot, by mail, for the June 6, 2006, Election between May 8, 2006 and May 30, 2006.
